Pre-wedding shoots often run for hours, across multiple locations and outfit changes. Here's how we plan makeup that holds up through all of it.
Plan Around Outfit Changes
If you're changing between two or three outfits, we adjust the intensity of the look between changes rather than starting over — a softer version for outdoor daylight, a slightly richer version for an indoor or evening set.
Matte Down for Outdoor Shoots
Direct sunlight exaggerates shine, so we set the base with a light matte powder for outdoor sequences, keeping just enough sheen on the high points of the face for dimension.
Carry Touch-Up Essentials
For long shoot days, we pack blotting sheets, a travel-size setting spray and lip colour for quick touch-ups between locations, so you're camera-ready throughout.
Coordinate with Your Photographer
If your photographer has a specific lighting style — natural light, backlit golden hour, or flash-heavy — let us know in advance. It changes how we approach contour and highlight.
Don't Skip the Trial
Even for a pre-wedding shoot, a short trial helps confirm the look works with your chosen outfits and locations before the actual shoot day.
