This is the most common question we get at trials, and the honest answer is: it depends on your skin, your venue, and how long your wedding day runs.
What HD Makeup Does Well
HD (high-definition) makeup uses finely-milled pigments applied with brushes or sponges. It allows for more precise contouring and layering, and it's easier to adjust coverage in specific areas — useful if you have some redness or pigmentation you want to target more heavily than the rest of your face.
What Airbrush Makeup Does Well
Airbrush makeup is sprayed on in ultra-thin layers using a fine-mist gun. It sits closer to the skin, resists sweat and humidity slightly better, and tends to look more matte through long, high-energy functions like sangeet and baraat. For outdoor daytime weddings in Delhi's warmer months, this often wins out.
Which One Lasts Longer?
Both, when applied correctly with the right primer and setting technique, comfortably last 8-10 hours. Airbrush has a slight edge in extreme heat or humidity; HD has a slight edge for very close-up, high-resolution wedding photography and videography.
Cost Difference
Airbrush makeup typically costs a little more due to the product and equipment involved, though the gap has narrowed as it's become more widely available across Delhi NCR studios.
Our Recommendation
We don't pre-decide this for you — we test both during your trial, photograph the results, and let you choose based on how each looks and feels on your own skin.
